Frequently asked questions.

Where will we fish?

I generally guide on Lake Chickamauga in Tennessee. Depending on the current being let out at the dam, we may fish the tail race at Nickajack. Wherever we go, I am committed to finding and staying on the fish.

What should I bring?

Bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, a valid TN fishing license (can be purchased online), and weather appropriate clothing.

Plenty of rods, reels, and bait will be available for your use during your guided trip, but you are welcome to bring your own setup! Please let me know in advance what you prefer.

What kind of baits will we use?

Depending on the trip you choose I will have the necessary artificial baits or big live baits for trophy fishing trips.

Can I bring food?

Bring snacks and drinks if you want them. Most clients bring a small cooler with them.

Can I book a weekend trip?

Yes! However I do charge $100 more per trip. Weekend charters are booked via a direct link instead of the calendar.

Contact me at bassquestguide@gmail.com and we can get you scheduled!

Do you require a deposit?

Yes! A $100 deposit is required for all trips. This deposit is non-refundable. The deposit goes to the cost of your trip, and is transferrable if you need to change the date of your trip. Please give 24 hours notice of any trip changes.

Will I catch my dream fish/lots of fish?

No one works harder than Captain Caleb to find the right bait, whether it’s live bait or the best artificial bait for the situation. I will do my absolute best to make sure that your trip is enjoyable and that we find the fish. However, there are no guarantees in fishing.
